I didn’t expect Waikuri Lagoon to be the place in

I didn’t expect Waikuri Lagoon to be the place in Indonesia that stopped me in my tracks 🩵

The water here is a mix of the warm ocean
and clear freshwater here that feels so different from anywhere I’ve swum before. And the tides? Game changer. I swam at high tide when my feet couldn’t reach the bottom, then came back later and literally walked around the entire lagoon at low tide. Same place with two totally different experiences 🌊

And yes, I absolutely grabbed a fresh coconut and rented an inner tube from a local stall nearby because how can you resist? 🥥

If Indonesia is on your list (or even if it’s not yet), save this place. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and still under the radar 🌴
